    Thicker than Water.

    “Blood is thicker than water.” is a well-known saying in any culture. It is widely accepted. If it is true, why is it so? Is it purely biological or psychological? Something we learned to accept it? In my experience, it is ture that it is much easier to end a non-biological relationship after some dispute or sour experience.     Our Parisian Westie, Peppo. Actually, he is 100% American and has never set his foot in Paris 🙂 But, Paris is where I fell in love with Westies. When I lived there early 2000, I would see many Westies on the streets of Paris minding their own business and quietly following their owners. Many times without the leash! But, there was one particular Westie called Peppo. Near my studio in Odeon, one popular creperies had Peppo and he would parade inside the restaurant visiting the diners and leaving the hostess not much to do.     Rescue Story

    It was December 2019. It was sunny and warm. But, I was in my car at Whole Foods parking lot and started crying saying “God, I feel like we are drowning.” That’s when God reminded me of the poster by Sight and Sound musical show about Jesus. His hand reaching to grab drowning Peter’s hand under the water. The next day, I was reading my daily devotion without knowing what the topic would be for that day.
